Delta County Historical Museum
The Delta County Historical Society was founded in 1948.The primary objective of this newly formed non-profit organization was to collect local historical materials, preserve them, and present this information to the citizens of Delta County to make them more fully aware of the area’s rich past.
Much has changed since 1948, but what has remained constant is the society’s objective to preserve the history of Delta County and to awaken and encourage that interest from its residents.
Today the Delta County Historical Society is proud to operate its museum, archives and Sand Point Lighthouse for locals and visitors alike. Through these sites, we hope to continue to collect, preserve and educate Delta County’s history for generations to come. After all, appreciation of our past plays a significant role in shaping our future.
