Celebrate fall in Frankenmuth during Scarecrow Fest, with a fun family-friendly festival at Frankenmuth River Place Shops and special scarecrow displays throughout downtown Frankenmuth! Taking place across two weekends in October, Scarecrow Fest includes both a Kids and Dog Weekend with special activities for everyone in the family.

The first weekend of Scarecrow Fest is Dogs Weekend held an Oct weekend: Saturday and Sunday, with the Rock N Roll K9s Performance Team putting on a total of 6 shows — 3 shows on Saturday and 3 shows on Sunday – at 11:30 am, 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm in the Festival Platz area near the Cass River Bar and Grill.

Saturday and Sunday from noon – 6 pm, try your hand at the pumpkin catapult and see how far you can launch a pumpkin! You can also try your hand at pumpkin bowling, pumpkin painting, arts and crafts and take a ride on Grandpa Tiny’s barrel train. Some activities include a small fee.

The doggie costume contest will be held at 5:00 pm on the Fest Platz Stage. Pre-registration at Hello Cats & Dogs is required for the costume contest, you can sign up from 11 am to 4:30 pm that day.

Following the costume contest, there is a doggie pet parade throughout the complex from 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm – dogs who participate will receive a treat bag!

Scarecrow Fest will also be held the weekend of October TBD, with the theme of Kids Weekend!
