The 40th^th Anniversary, of the Christmas in Ida Festival features a national headliner country concert starring Diamond Rio and young country concert sensation Laci Kaye Booth, and regional and international entertainment. The Grandaddy of light parades, the Christmas in Ida Parade of Lights is the largest parade of lights in the Midwest. Illuminated with thousands of lights fire trucks, floats, parade balloons, cartoon characters, farm implements, bands and marching groups join in illuminated displays that entertain two hours. Other activities include Holiday Hounds on Parade, helicopter rides, craft and merchandise vendors, fine arts, and children’s activities. Evening festivities begin with a spectacular firework display. Ethnic foods served by restaurants and food vendors. In keeping with tradition, all events including country music concerts are free!!
